Local authorities in some flood plain areas are now stating that flood mitigation measures must be incorporated within the planning applications for new properties. The Flood Ark System has been approved by Planning Officers because of its proven effectiveness, unique features and British Standards Institute approval.

In many high risk areas you may now only be able to get insurance for your property if it has a recognised flood prevention device. In lower risk areas you may also qualify for lower insurance premiums with an installed Flood Ark Protection System.
